Watercolor Workshop | Jeannie Vodden

From Jeannie -- On days 1 & 2, we'll start the workshop with a demo and practice exercises which will immeasurably help in understanding how I work, achieve luminosity, detail and gentle washes with lifts and light areas. Then we'll move into a small floral painting to put into practice the techniques learned with the exercises. On days 3-5, we'll focus on using a limited palette, adding color into the skin tones, creating soft translucence with layering of staining transparent hues.  You'll learn how to lift and soften areas and edges while paint is still damp.  We'll talk about picking your best photos for a portrait and how to add a little something special that will add interest to your portraits.
