Kelly Call Is a Georgia based artist and has loved to paint since she was a child. Her passion has grown deeper through the years, and she has been influenced dramatically by artists from all walks of life, from her high school art teacher, Patsy Smith, to renowned artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe. That passion is found in every brushstroke
as she strives to provide a peek of the world and beauty, as seen through her eyes, on every canvas. Another famous artist that inspires Kelly is Helen Frankenthaler for her use of color, the large scale of her pieces, and simple compositions.
She is inspired by her travels the most. The new landscapes, sunsets, colors, and textures of places she has not seen before fill her with enough excitement that she can not wait to get home and paint them. Her main focus is color and texture. She loves coming up with new interesting color combinations and using different tools to explore texture.
“Our world is such a beautiful place; I hope that my artwork will give others just a small peek at that beauty.”
